Core Research Laboratory
The ARU Core Research Laboratory provides analytical support for clinical trials conducted at ARU as well as clinical projects for others institutions. The laboratory serves as a central receiving, testing , distribution and archiving (storage) of the specimens collected from the clinical trials. Specimens are tracked all the way from the time collected, analyzed, distributed to specialty laboratories until stored.
The laboratory is equipped with electronic monitoring with tracking, bar-coding systems in order to maintain an accurate record of sample movement and facilitate retrieval access. All the freezers systems have natural gas back-up generators during power outages to protect the integrity of the study specimens. The staff oversees security and all the appropriate measurements are taken to ensure the specimen integrity throughout the life of the sample.
The laboratory performs a variety of tests and evaluates new methods according to the needs of the clinical trial. Moreover, to ensure the quality of the test results the laboratory is CLIA certified.
