Dr. Mingzhu Yan joined the Atherosclerosis Research Unit in 2007 as a research associate and imaging processing specialist in 2007. Currently she is performing vascular ultrasound studies and medical image processing which focuses on carotid artery intima-media thickness (CIMT), plague thickness, luminal diameters, arterial physiological measurement (e.g., carotid artery stiffness). Dr. Yan is also collaborating with administrative and research staff at other research centers. She has participated in ACTG A5260, WIHS, ACT NOW and WISH trials, etc. Her on-going studies are BrtaFat study, HPG, and NAPS, etc.
