Anne is responsible for assessing progression of atherosclerosis in carotid arteries by measuring various indices of atherosclerosis from images obtained by B-mode ultrasound. She has been a member of the Atherosclerosis Research Unit (ARU) staff for more than 25 years and has participated in several clinical trials with Computer assisted angiographic endpoint measurements during that period at the ARU, analyzing both coronary artery and carotid artery angiograms.

She also worked in the Department of Preventive Medicine at USC under Professor James Dwyer as a data analyst for 7 years on epidemiological studies investigating diet and life style as contributing factors in the development of atherosclerosis.
She previously worked at the Jet propulsion lab in Pasadena as an imaging analyst on computer image enhancement techniques.
